This page explains what SellMyCar4Cash (sellmycar4cash.uk) stores in your browser. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies unless you accept them.
What is stored
- Your enquiry draft (browser local storage, key
ecm.enquiry-draft.v1): the answers you type into the enquiry form, so you can return to an unfinished enquiry. It stays on your device until you clear it (use “Clear saved answers” in the form) or clear your browser data. - Your choices (local storage, key
ecm.consent.v1): remembers a privacy choice if one is made on this site. - Campaign information (session storage, cleared when you close the tab): if you arrive from a link containing marketing parameters, these are held for that visit only. They are not included in the enquiry email.
These items are needed for the saving feature you use, so they do not require consent. Nothing in them is sent to us until you submit an enquiry.
Analytics and advertising
With your permission only (“Accept all” or the advertising option under “Choose”), we use the Meta Pixel to measure our Facebook and Instagram advertising. It sets Meta cookies (such as _fbp and _fbc) in your browser. Nothing is loaded before you choose, and choosing “Reject non-essential” keeps it off.
Meta is told which pages you view, that you started an enquiry, and that you submitted one. It is not told what you typed into the form. The same events are also sent from our web server using Meta's Conversions API, together with your IP address, browser details and the Meta cookie identifiers, so that results can be measured accurately.
Managing storage
You can delete this data at any time in your browser settings.
